Coca-Cola launches film about lifting humanity during challenging times

Coca-Cola has launched its message of thanks to people helping to make the world a better place during Covid-19, in celebration of International Workers' Day.

The film tells a story of two sides, presenting the negative representation of a world we’ve grown to know during the Coronavirus pandemic and juxtaposing it against messages of hope and positivity.

The ad uses short video clips and images from around the world of real people that are using their humanity to overcome the difficulties, from frontline workers to people celebrating elderly relatives birthdays by socially distancing.

The film is called ‘For the Human Race’ and was made by Merdeka LHS, Dentsu Group Malaysia, for Coca-Cola.

Pratik Thakar, integrated marketing communication director, Southeast Asia at The Coca-Coca Company, said: “We thank and salute those who continue to keep us all safe through the crisis, particularly those people on the front lines. Every day, we are inspired and uplifted by countless acts of selflessness, kindness and courage from people around the world. Through this short global film, we wanted to recognize and pay tribute to positivity, togetherness and the generosity of the human spirit.”

The film uses music from The Script, selecting the band’s single ‘Superheroes’ to add to the uplifting message.
